Home Care Assistance with an Interactive Touch
Our interactive home care assistance keeps seniors active in their own care and confident in their lifestyles
Many times, home care assistance providers focus on the physical tasks that are necessary for senior loved ones to live life comfortably and safely at home. Some examples of these tasks include bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and incontinence care, feeding and a special diet, and mobility support. Although Comfort Keepers of Federal Way, WA does offer these services, we take a step beyond traditional home care with our unique Interactive Caregiving service.
Goals of Interactive Caregiving
The goal of Interactive Caregiving is to promote interaction and engagement among seniors and their caregivers or Comfort Keepers. With Interactive Caregiving, older adults can live happier, longer, and more fulfilling lives. Seniors can also develop a special bond with their Comfort Keepers which makes it easier for older adults to trust them when they are providing personal care or companionship care services.
Interactive Caregiving Plans
If your older loved one opts for our Interactive Caregiving service, you can expect a special care plan to be designed. Care service plans vary from senior to senior and are based on each older adult’s specific interests, hobbies, preferences, and needs. They are intended to stimulate senior citizens physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially through a wide variety of exciting activities.
These activities may include hikes at a local park, yoga classes at a community center, crossword puzzles, chess, jewelry making, movies, concerts, weekly dinner dates with grandchildren, and lectures at the library. As a loved one, you will be encouraged to participate in Interactive Caregiving activities with your senior so that you can both create new memories that will last for years to come.
Four Interactive Caregiving Concepts
The Interactive Caregiving philosophy is based on four unique concepts. The first one is that physical activity helps lower the risk of falls because it strengthens seniors’ muscles. Next, mental activities keep senior minds nimble and positive. The last two concepts relate to nutritious meals and proper hydration which assist in keeping senior minds sharp and home safety which can be promoted by a Comfort Keeper.
If you are interested in Interactive Caregiving, please contact us today. We will be happy to provide you with further details on this one-of-a-kind philosophy in a free home care assistance consultation with you and your senior. Once your senior experiences our Interactive Caregiving service, you will notice a positive difference in the way he or she lives life.
